The Power of a Praying ______

I just got off the phone after speaking with my wonderful, godly mama. Let me tell you, she is such a blessing and inspiration to me. With every end of our conversation, she reminds me that she prays for me, Rase and Malachi. Every day. That means so much to me. And, after thinking about the sentiment for a little while, I thought, I have no idea how much her prayers do for me. I don't see the behind-the-scenes but I know for sure that I would be much worse off if I didn't have her there for me as a spiritual support.

Romans 1:9-10

"... how constantly I remember you 10in my prayers at all times; and I pray that now at last by God's will the way may be opened for me to come to you."

There is no complete knowledge of the building up, tearing down and general strength that can be imparted to a person when they are supported in prayer by their loved ones.

Philippians 4:6

"Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God."

If anything, this blog is to thank my mama for her continued intercession for me and my family. It is also a charge, sort of, for others to keep their loved ones in prayer. I'm speaking to myself, just as much. Prayer is a powerful tool that can be used at a moments notice, doesn't require grandeur, and wields significant results- though we may not be witness to the most impacting ones.
I'm telling you, if you want to do something good for yourself, find someone who is willing to pray for you and stick to 'em like a leach. Pray for them too. Get a prayer buddy and pray together. I bet you'll see some significant changes in your life.

And I would like to add this, as well. From a friend of mine with a knowledge and fire that I would love to attain in this life. Everyday, I'm working towards it- God is willing and able to bring His will about in my life. Through prayer, of course. :)

Wow. One of the best blogs yet. God's Word can't be beat. I love the way you honor your Mom AND God in this one. By doing so, you too will be honored by your children. ~A humbled husband, father & Christ follower.
